Kimmo Lehtonen is a Finnish bowler who has been one of the top Finnish competitive bowlers for five decades.
Lehtonen is a well-known, respected Finnish national team bowler who has also toured the United States PBA Professional Tour.
His first company, Suomen Citypuhditus Oy, he founded in 1993. As an entrepreneurial top-level athlete, Kimmo wanted to expand his business and include the sport he loved. That's how the idea of BowlCircus was born.

MORE THAN JUST BOWLING

BowlCircus bowling centers, founded by Kimmo Lehtonen, are dedicated to offer more than just bowling. The unique nightclub-like atmosphere creates experiences filled with joy, and each BowlCircus is designed to provide customers a wide range of services. Still, bowling is also a great form of exercise from which the most enthusiastic bowlers can make themselves a competitive hobby!

Kimmo founded his first bowling alley in 2005. Located in Vuokatti, the bowling center began its operation with the idea of renewing the traditional bowling culture. In September 2008, the first BowlCircus bowling center located in the Helsinki metropolitan area was opened in Vantaa's magnificent Flamingo entertainment center. In November 2008, Sello Shopping Center received its own BowlCircus bowling center to accompany its new cinema and multiple new restaurants. The fourth BowlCircus was opened to Holiday Club Saimaa in 2011.
BowlCircus' operations continued to grow in the summer of 2012, when the Ruusula bowling alley and Restaurant Mercur, originally opened in 1941, were taken over by Kimmo Lehtonen Oy. Ruusula Bowling Alley served as a BowlCircus entertainment center from 2012 to 2016.

In 2023, the BowCircus chain expanded after a several year break when BowlCircus Levi opened its doors in the wonderful, wintry scenery of Finnish Lapland. BowlCircus Levi offers glow bowling in the heart of Levi Village, in a central location near the front slope of Levi Ski Resort.
